Email Threading fields

After the Near Dupe and Threading (NDT) job completes following the promotion job, the system populates the and fields for email documents. Emails that belong to the same thread share the same . For each thread-inclusive email, the system populates the field with one of the values described in the following table.

Field value Description
Inclusive The terminating node of an email thread that includes all previous emails of the thread. A single email thread can have more than one Inclusive email when there are replies or forwards with different recipients and/or attachments. A reviewer can focus on the Inclusive email without needing to read the previous messages in the thread.
Inclusive Minus An inclusive minus email file contains a unique attachment not found in other emails within the same email thread.
Inclusive Copy

An inclusive copy email contains the same content as another inclusive email file but has a different sent date, suggesting the content was resent for an unknown purpose.

When you run the NDT document action, the system populates the above fields for the selected email documents. The system prefixes the field with the NDT job name.

If you rerun the NDT job on documents, the system recalculates only the value.

Epiq Discover can thread up to 2000 emails that have the same Subject using a single Thread ID while populating the field. Should subsequent emails with the same Subject be encountered (email 2001 or higher), the system will populate the field for those emails. However, for performance reasons, the emails will receive a new Thread ID per every additional block of 2000 emails with the same Subject.
